My website doesn’t require you to set up an account, and neither does it require you to submit any personal detail, except where you wish to submit an email enquiry, in which case the following personal information is required via a formatted online enquiry template:
- Name
- Email
- Phone
- Message (freeform text - which may include any other personal detail, such as your address, any dates or times, when you might be available in order to book an appointment, etc.).
In addition to the above, when you book an appointment with Dave the Ovencleaner, I will ask for your full address details or the specific address, where my services are to be carried out. I will ask you to clarify the type of appliance(s) that you wish to be cleaned (oven, hob, extractor, BBQ, filter change etc.) to aid the quotation process and before agreeing a suitable appointment date.
Additionally, I will request a contact telephone number (landline, mobile or both) so that I may ensure the scheduled appointment is still convenient (I aim to contact customers a day or so before the impending appointment, as a courtesy reminder). On occasions, I may also use your contact details, on the day of the appointment, in case I need to inform you of any rescheduling/delay to the agreed appointment time.
You can of course decline to provide some of the above information but this may hamper my ability to fully expedite my services.
To assist with my marketing activities, I may also ask and record where you saw or heard about my services, whether that is through local publications, social media sites or through personal recommendation.
Your details will be held within my manual work diary and also uploaded onto my secure computerised database, which is retained at my home office. All records are also backed up daily via the cloud.
Your personal information will not be shared with any third party, without first acquiring your express permission.
I believe you should have control of your information and you can of course withdraw your consent for me to process your information at any time. By withdrawing your consent, I will delete your information from my diary and any computerised files. Any invoices, showing addresses or other personal information may need to be retained for tax purposes and for business compliance. You accept that when I am asked to withdraw your personal information, I may not be able to carry out my services from that point forward.
From time to time, I may seek your approval to take photographs of your appliances, for use in my own personal marketing material; including on my website www.davetheovencleaner.co.uk or on social media sites, such as Facebook. I will never reference any owner details, including names or addresses, alongside any photographs that are used. If you do not wish for me to use any photographs, you can simply send me an email, which will be stored and I will immediately remove any content from any marketing material that has been used.
At the end of each appointment, I reconfirm with all customers if they wish me to contact them at a future time for a follow up visit, in which case I would retain the personal information gathered to enable this activity to be completed.
At anytime, you may determine that you no longer wish to use my services, and can ask to be removed from my database altogether. To instigate this, please send a written request via email to info@davetheovencleaner.co.uk confirming your wish to be removed from my database.
